I’m Not Messy I’m Creative is a ceramic brand of Anne Öhrling Dersén whos focus is situated at the intersection of art, design, and craft. Her approach embraces irregularity and intuitive gesture, allowing the process to shape the final form and revealing a sense of movement, growth, and unpredictability within the material journey.
She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, as well as a diploma in foundational artistic practice from Gerlesborgsskolan in Stockholm. Originally from Sweden, she has lived and worked in several countries, including Portugal, where she led ceramics workshops and developed her practice through collaborative projects focused on creation and knowledge sharing.
During her time in Amsterdam, she also co-founded and ran a creative copyshop called Workcentre 232 and project space dedicated to DIY organization, analog reproduction techniques, and small-scale music events creating a platform for experimentation, collaboration, and independent cultural production.
Currently based in Lyon, France, where her studio practice continues to evolve through material exploration and a playful, experimental approach to making. collaborating and giving workshops.
